Starlink ofrece conexión satelital en numerosos smartphones gracias a su alianza con T-Mobile.
Esta tecnología permite que terminales iPhone, Google Pixel, Motorola y Samsung se vinculen directamente a la constelación satelital sin antenas adicionales, facilitando la navegación en zonas rurales, remotas o sin cobertura tradicional.
El servicio ya opera en todo Estados Unidos continental, Puerto Rico y regiones del sur de Alaska.

Cómo activar la conexión Starlink en el móvil
El servicio viene integrado en varios planes de T-Mobile. Si aún no eres usuario, puedes habilitar una eSIM compatible.
Cuando te encuentres sin cobertura móvil o roaming, tu terminal compatible se enganchará automáticamente a la red T-Satellite.
No es posible elegir manualmente esta red mientras haya cobertura celular estándar. Al vincularse, aparecerá “T-Mobile SpaceX” o “T-Sat+Starlink” en la parte superior izquierda.
Los mensajes pueden demorar unos segundos más según la cobertura y las condiciones. Como los satélites se mueven, el teléfono cambiará de uno a otro de forma automática, enviando los mensajes tan pronto recupere señal.
Qué se puede hacer con internet satelital desde el móvil
El servicio permite enviar y recibir SMS y compartir ubicación, incluso sin cobertura móvil convencional. En el futuro se añadirán funciones como el envío de imágenes y datos satelitales conforme los dispositivos y aplicaciones integren estas capacidades.
La cobertura actual abarca Estados Unidos continental, Puerto Rico y ciertas zonas del sur de Alaska.
